Arbitration Rules

Phase 1: Initiation & Informal Mediation
Step 1: Submission

The complaining Member must submit a written narrative of the complaint along with any supporting documentation to IWJG Management.

Step 2: Notification

IWJG Management reviews the complaint and forwards it to the other involved parties, requesting a written response and supporting documentation.

Step 3: Mediation

IWJG Management will attempt to help the Members resolve the issue informally before escalating to the board.

Phase 2: Formal Arbitration Board (AB)

If no resolution is reached, the Member may formally request arbitration. The IWJG appoints an Arbitration Board (AB) made up of volunteer Members in good standing.

Neutrality Rules:

  • Staff and Management do not hold voting authority.
  • Double-Blind Process: Board members are anonymous to the parties, and parties are anonymous to the Board.
Phase 3: Final Ruling & Resolution

The AB reviews all materials and submits its findings to Management. Management then communicates the decision to all parties along with the timeline for resolution.

Final & Binding: The AB’s ruling and IWJG Management’s proclamation are final and binding on all parties.
