IWJG March 2012 Las Vegas Show Report

The weather might have been cool and windy in Las Vegas for The International Watch and Jewelry Guild March 2012 Show, but the action inside was Hot... Hot... Hot... The 2012 Las Vegas Show was 50% larger than the 2011 March Show plus we had an increase of 300% in guest requests. Monday started off with a bang at 7:30 AM and did not slow down until we locked the room at 7:00 PM. Monday was nonstop. What was selling? Everything! Modern watches were moving. Pocket watches were attracting a lot of interest. Vintage dealers reported good activity and Jewelry was hot. Diamonds in the 1.5 carat to 2.5 carat range were very strong. Fred Hakimian, Viken Berghoudian and Alex Rossi all reported very strong shows with diamonds and jewelry. Watch Dealers John Brozak, Byron Eder, Gabe Arik, Garry Zumalt, Joseph Stern, Mark Nance, Kurt Rothner, Joe Akar and too many others to include reported in with very good show reports. All in all Las Vegas was a great selling show.

Before moving away from Las Vegas, a special thank you to the staff of Jewel Systems. Mike, Jamie and Eliza went way, way, way beyond the call of duty with an extra late run to the airport to make sure that packages got out for Fred Hakimian and Tom Milani. Jewel Systems takes very good care of The IWJG Membership. Thanks again, Jewel Systems. We cannot wait to get back to Las Vegas on Memorial weekend, but first let's head to New York!
