IWJG January 2012 Miami Show Report

What a start to the 2012 New Year... A very good show in Las Vegas was followed by a GREAT Show in Miami! The International Watch and Jewelry Guild Show at the Hilton in Miami was a complete sell out. Over 1,100 members/dealers plus guests made this the largest Miami Show in IWJG history. Day One was memorble because the action was fast and hot from the moment the show opened until it closed at 6:00PM. What was selling? Anything and everything that was priced right was moving. Make no mistake if you had merchandise at the right price somebody was buying it. Every show is a tale of two stories but soooo many dealers stopped on their way out to tell us what a great show they had.

Joe Nelson, Executive Director of The IWJG reports that Ira Mish, Adrian Kleiman, Leo Brafman, and Brett Kopelman, Tom Milani and Sam Sallum, all reported very good shows. Mark Nance, Newton Ng, Temuri Nanikashvili, Adrian Kleiman, Peter Chou, Michele Mottale and Tommy LaBret called in with very good reports from Miami. Matteo Chillemi, Geneva Barnhill (Avalon Jewelers, Atlanta) Gabe Arik, Howard Frum and Byron Eder all report great, GREAT, Miami results... What do I think? If you adjusted to the ebb and flow on the show floor, you had a very good show... and if not... the dog barked and the caravan moved on! Some things never change! Next... ORLANDO!!!
